Fa Si, Flower Market in Canto, is a pretty cool place...I am getting pretty used to how packed it is here in HK. I baby stepped my way through the crowd to see what HK's entrepreneurs had dreamed up to celebrate the year of the Golden Pig. Amazingly they had a lot of inflatable pigs, swords,... ...Giraffes, you name it. You see, the flower market held in Victoria Park near Causeway bay and Tin Hau has all sorts of stuff other than just flowers, although it is the main attraction.

With my new conquest to try and conserve, I was honestly thinking, wow, what a waste of plastic. I mean, who needs an inflatable hammer or giraffe anyway? And it's going to get thrown away soon too! Should we put a stop to these types of products? but how can we without stifling creativity??!! I guess that's another tangent...

I think my head was spinning as the crowds enveloped me and sellers screamed for people's attention. Old and young lady's rammed their forearms into my lower back pushing me along.

Funny enough, I had a video camera. When I turned around with it to film them and say, "look, these are the people nudging me" They quickly backed off, and pretended nothing was going on. Really funny. I laughed at the situation, but this stuff is pretty common.

Flowers were pretty cool. Very different types from what people are used to in the west. Lots or Reds and orange colored plants/flowers, with a few Narcissus whites. Once you get past all the novelties being sold, the plants are pretty entertaining and have their own aisle.

Well, off to Joyce's Grandmas place. Going to gobble down some spring rolls, dumplings, and a bunch of other things to fill my belly...
